Minnesota
On June 26, Mike Westendorf performed a "Share the Hope" concert at Patton Park in Lake City, Minn. St. John, Frontenac; Immanuel, Lake City; St. John, Lake City; and Trinity, Lincoln, all in Minnesota, joined together with the community to raise funds for the Lake City Paramedics Education Department.

On Aug. 2, St. John, Frontenac, Minn., hosted the first annual National Night Out in Frontenac. Between 125 to 150 people from the community attended.

Fifty-one volunteers—mostly teens—from WELS congregations in Minnesota traveled to Tennessee this summer to share their love of Christ through outreach and service projects. For example, at Shepherd of the Hills, Knoxville, Tenn., volunteers helped with landscaping and canvassing. The trip was organized by leaders at Christ, North St. Paul/Hugo, Minn.

North Atlantic
Hope, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, hosted its second annual music camp July 18–22. The music camp offered lessons in four instruments—guitar, voice, keyboard, and steelpan. This year the youth were also exposed to drumming as part of their music theory experience.

South Atlantic
The Lutheran Churches of the Caribbean held their fifth annual youth rally July 17–24. St. John's Lutheran Church and School in Antigua hosted representatives from Luther Preparatory School, Watertown, Wis., and Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Lucia. More than 50 teens participated in this weeklong event, which included opportunities to grow in faith through God's Word and through service.

Happy anniversary!

CA—
On Aug. 21, members of Christ the Vine, Temecula, Calif., celebrated the 40th anniversary in the pastoral ministry of Curtis Lyon.

DM—On June 12, Our Savior's, South Shore, S.D., honored Hilda Grewing for the 65 years she has been a church organist. Over those years, Grewing, 79, has provided music for hymns on Sunday, weddings, funerals, and other events in churches around the area.

MN—St. Paul, St. James, Minn., is celebrating its 125th anniversary with three special Sunday celebrations. On Oct. 16, the congregation will observe the main celebration day with a special service and meal.

NW—On June 19, members of Redeemer, Fond du Lac, Wis., celebrated the 40th anniversaries of three of their called workers—Teacher Paul Schulz, Teacher David Nell, and Pastor Fred Toppe.
