On the bright side
On the bright side
Members of the Sunday school class at St. Luke’s, Watertown, Wis., had invited their parents for the final day of activities. They ended up playing “Are You Smarter Than a First or Second Grader?” Questions were taken from Bible stories studied in class. In one match up, first-grade Sunday school student Ella Schmidt squared off with parent Mr. Joe Fischer. The question given was, “What was the name of the town where Jesus saw Zacchaeus?” Joe Fischer was quick to reply with his answer, “Damascus.” Good guess, but incorrect. Then the big moment came for Ella as she contemplated her response: “Well, hmm, I don’t know. Maybe South Carolina?”
