The Cell Phones for Soldiers program was started in April 2004 by two teens. The goal is to help our soldiers serving overseas call home. They hope to provide as many soldiers as possible with prepaid calling cards.
Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

Military discounts
Many buinesses, chains and individually owned, offer a military discount. It ranges from 10% to even free jerky! Many don't openly advertise the discount, so it never hurts to ask! Here are some sites which list the various discounts. When ordering online, a special code is required.

Want to do something for a military family in your community?
- Send thank-you cards to spouses or parents.
- If the family has young children, volunteer to babysit so the spouse has some personal time.
- Invite them to your family outings. Weekends and evenings are the hardest times to be apart from loved ones.
